September 2012 Newsletter

Dear Parent/Guardian

Can I thank all parents/carers for your continued support with our dress code. Our pupils are coming to school properly dressed and looking very smart. If anyone has old blazers that are no longer needed we would be happy to put them to good use and they can be handed in to the school office.

  1. School Show
Our school show “Hairspray” will be performed in the school from Monday 8 to Thursday 11 October. This promises to be an excellent show and ticket order forms will be issued to pupils at the beginning of next week. Tickets are priced £7.00 (or £6.00 for children under 16) and we expect this show to sell out each evening so get your order form returned as soon as possible. We are delighted to announce our new sponsor for the show is Mitie Property Services Ltd.

  2. SQA Examination Results
The results from the SQA examinations are excellent with improvement on previous years. A full breakdown of the results is now on our website

  3. Parent Council / PTA
We are fortunate to have a very active Parent Council and Parents’ Association. The Parents’ Association is hoping to recruit new members so please come along and find out more about our school and how you can help provide the best opportunities for our pupils. Details of all meetings dates and times are on the Community Section of our website

  4. Enterprise
There is a whole range of activities and events taking place throughout the school year. To see the latest news look for the Enterprise newsletter on our website.

  5. Prizegiving
We still have a few prizes in school for pupils who were nominated for an award at the end of last session but were unable to attend the Prizegiving ceremony. If this is the case for your child, please ask them to see Mrs Allison in the Deputes’ Office.

  6. Extra-Curricular Clubs
We have a large number of extra-curricular clubs in the school and we would encourage all pupils to get involved. Details are on our new school website.

  7. New Website
We have redesigned the school website to make it even better. As part of this process, we wish to ensure that the list of subscribers to our newsletter is up-to-date. If you still wish to receive the Rector’s Monthly Newsletter by email, please click the following link and enter your email address on the right hand side of the page:
