Message to all Dalziel Pupils and Parents

Schools are closing all over Scotland today Friday 20th March.

While our school may be closed for most pupils, we will be remaining open in a limited capacity to provide care for key workers' children and vulnerable pupils.

This situation is so hard on our pupils in S4,5 and 6 who have worked incredibly hard towards examinations that they cannot now sit. There will be a planned approach to enable pupils to complete SQA assignments and folios. We will of course do everything that we can to minimise the impact on our pupils so that they are given the credit that they deserve.

We intend to continually provide updated information to pupils and parents through this website , our school app and twitter.

These are unprecedented times for our school community and I want to thank our staff for the outstanding work they have been doing in difficult circumstances.

A message to those pupils preparing to leave school. Clearly this is not the end of term that we expected or that we were looking forward to. We have had an outstanding group of young people in S6 this year and we were looking forward to all the usual Dalziel end of term events. Whenever school does reopen we will meet together and make arrangements to mark and celebrate your time at Dalziel.

We look forward to this situation being over and our school opening again.
