Dalziel High Celebrates SQA Exam Results

The young people of Dalziel High School produced an outstanding set of SQA results this year, despite their school year being disrupted once again.

All our senior pupils have demonstrated great resilience and determination to ensure they achieved the best results possible.

This was shown with 67% of our S4 cohort, achieving five or more passes at National 5 with 71 young people achieving 7 National 5s, 28 of whom recorded 7 A grades at National 5 level.

Similarly, the young people in S5 also produced a fantastic set of results with 30% of our young people gaining five Highers; 62% of the year group gaining three or more Highers while 75% per cent gained one or more Higher. 29 young people achieved 5 Higher grades at Band A.

The school’s young people in S6 produced excellent SQA results including 23% of the year group achieved at least one Advanced Higher Pass.

On every level our young people have really excelled themselves across the board. The level of excellence achieved by them is testimony to themselves, their parents, and carers and, of course their teachers, who have worked tirelessly with them throughout the year, under the most difficult circumstances. Of course, these results are only part of the picture of achievement for our young people, who have also so much to be proud of in their contributions to the school and their communities.
