Latest Information for Parents/Carers.
School closes at 2.30pm on Thursday 1st April for Easter break. We return to school on Monday 19th April at 8.55am on our Week 1 timetable.
As you know our phased return to school is well underway and subject to announcements by the Scottish Government, we look forward to all pupils returning full time after Spring break. In order to make this return as smooth and safe as possible we would like to remind you of our timetable and start times etc. The two week timetable schematic is still in place:
Arrival and Departure Times
All pupils will continue to assemble in the playground.
As classes are brought into the building, pupils will continue to be asked to sanitise their hands as they enter. Pupils should continue to wear face coverings unless exempt.
Health & Safety
All pupils should return to wearing full school uniform unless they have P.E. On these days only are they are permitted to come to school in P.E. kit.
We will continue to follow all health and safety guidelines and this includes:
- queuing in the playground in designated coloured areas at the start of the day – Teachers/Depute Heads will bring you into the building.
- sanitising hands as you enter and leave the building.
- wearing masks at all times in class and corridors for ALL YEAR GROUPS – so please bring a mask unless you are exempt.
- sanitising work stations before and after use.
- remaining 2m from staff at all times in school.
We would like to remind you that you will be outside at breaks and lunchtimes so on wet days we encourage you to wear an outside jacket or bring an umbrella.
We have planned an assessment diet that gives pupils some time to continue with learning and teaching and to accurately assess pupil performance. The assessment timings are as follows:
- S4 - May 18th-June 3rd 2021
- S5/6 - April 26th – May 11th 2021
Lateral Flow Tests
Lateral Flow Self-Testing is now being offered to all pupils as part of the mitigations in school to reduce the risk of COVID-19.
These are tests that pupils carry out at home, 2-3 times per week, the previous evening or in the morning before they come to school.
A letter with detailed information has been posted on H&W Teams pages.
Consent forms have been issued and if pupils wish to take part they must return the consent form. DHTs will issue packs of tests during class time. We encourage all pupils to consider participating in this programme.
