If you are considering leaving school in December 2018 or May 2019 then the time has come for some serious thinking about your future.
Many colleges will have courses starting in January and these can provide a useful springboard to other courses In August or into employment. However, applications for these courses will open in the next few weeks so it is important that you do not miss out on a possible college place by leaving it too late to apply. City of Glasgow College. Applications at City of Glasgow College for January Courses will open on 10 October 2018
Applications for courses starting in August 2019 will open early in 2019 and popular courses can fill up very quickly so once again early application is advised.
Many employers will start their recruitment programme for apprentices to start in May-August 2019 over the next few months with some programmes including Morgan Stanley and Network Rail already being open. You can find details of entry requirements and recruitment processes on individual company websites.
