The SQA examinations are now well underway. Once again, can I wish every success to all our pupils who are sitting exams.

  1. The Dalzielian
    Our yearbook, ‘The Dalzielian’, will be on sale as usual in early June. Priced at £12, this is subsidised to keep the costs down.‘The Dalzielian’ is a great memento, documenting the last twelve months in the school, so make sure you get your copy in June.

  2. Parents' Association Quiz Night
    Our Parents’ Association are organising their Annual Quiz Night on Monday 11 June 2012. This is always a friendly, informal and fun night with all proceeds being spent on the pupils. Please come along and support the school.

  3. Staffing
    Mrs Jacqui Agnew has been appointed new DHT of the Hearing Impaired and Support for Learning Departments and D Masters has been appointed new Acting PT Pupil Support.

  4. Choral Shield
    The Choral Shield returns to the Civic Concert Hall in Motherwell this year and tickets will be on sale in June priced as follows:

    Monday 25 June - £7.00
    Tuesday 26 June - £10.00

    Order forms will be handed out to pupils after the SQA examinations.

  5. The Science & Technology Fayre
    Our thanks go to the growing list of organisations, such as Biocity, Renishaw, Aquapharm, Babcock and JCB, who are sponsoring this year’s Annual Science and Technology Fayre. The Fayre will be opened on Thursday 14 June by NASA Astronauts with the final taking place on Friday 15 June.

  7. Celebrating Success
    Congratulations and well done go to S2 pupil, Alex Dunn. At age 13 Alex has become the youngest boy ever to win the U-15 Boys Singles at the 4 Nations Quadrangular Badminton tournament. He was also a member of the Scottish team, which won the Team Event for the first time in 6 years, beating England 5 events to 4.
