STEM - S5 - Space School

The Scottish Space School is one of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclyde's most successful outreach programmes.

Every summer 100 successful S5 Scottish school pupils attend a week-long residential summer school with us. The programme for the week is made up of a mix of lectures, labs and workshops on a space theme and it is delivered by academics and researchers from the Faculty, as well as visiting NASA representatives.

Following the week, 10 of the students are chosen for a once in a lifetime visit to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

Dalziel High School have been successful in having pupils attend the one week residential course at Strathclyde University.
