History and Modern Studies play a vital role in today’s society and the department aims to ensure each child has a positive learning experience to enhance their understanding of the world, both past and present.

S1 Social Studies

S1 Common Social Studies Course

  • Pupils study a common course, which includes History, Modern Studies, Geography and RME
  • Scotland in the World
  • India

S2 Social Studies

  • USA: Earth Forces

Pupils will opt to complete an investigation of their choice from one of the above areas.
